July House

Set in a lavish North Carolina beach house living room belonging to Guthrie Thompson's grandparents, July House unfurls the story of five college students in 2011. Continuing their July 4th party to the next day, they bring every lamp into the house, blinding each other with the electric bulbs. Each of them writes a letter meant to remain sealed until their death. The play explores their experiences, forging a narrative that captures the essence of youth, friendship, and the weight of unspoken words.

July House made its debut at The Keenan Theater and was later featured in the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival.

July House will be produced at Kingsport Theatre in Tennessee, March 2024.
