About

Pat D. Robinson is a playwright, currently based in New York, originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. Pat pursued a degree in dramatic art at UNC Chapel Hill, where he earned the Sam Seldin Playwright Award. Pat's theatrical works have been produced on the stages of the New York International Fringe Festival, Dixon Place, The Tank Theatre, Pelago, and Kingsport Theatre.

Pat's plays serve as blueprints for dramatic catharsis, blending humor and darkness in well-crafted stories. Pat's plays are an envelope of chaos, inviting theater makers and audiences on a journey of exploration. Pat has also showcased his acting talent with the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, Roundabout Theatre, and Dixon Place as well as writing and performing his own songs.

Pat brings his experience in DIY music scenes and spaces around New York to theater. He has also made and toured music with Robbing Johnny, Six Time Users and Scribble Scoundrel. The goal is to make non-theater and theater people alike excited about plays. Pat’s next production will be the third production of July House at the Kingsport Theatre in Kingsport Tennessee in March of 2024.
